A Note About Shipping Prices

At Whiplash LP Mailers, we never mark up shipping. The rates you see are exactly what UPS charges us. Unfortunately, shipping large, heavy boxes is simply expensive. UPS applies additional “Overweight” surcharges—often $20–$35 per box—on top of standard rates.

We’ve explored ways to avoid these penalties, like packing fewer mailers per box to keep the weight under UPS’s thresholds. But doing so would mean sending out more boxes, and the added box charges end up costing more than the overweight fees. In other words, the current packing method is the most cost-efficient balance.

You may notice that some other companies appear to offer cheaper shipping. We’d caution you to look closely at the landed cost—the total of product plus shipping. Competitors sometimes bury shipping expenses into their product pricing, which can make the shipping line look low but doesn’t actually save you money.
